Do you need a New Zealand Customs client code?
A client code is required for the import or export of shipments with a value greater than NZ$1,000.
The New Zealand Customs service issue a unique number to a New Zealand entity that identifies whether they are an importer or exporter.
All directors of a company are required to sign the application and provide a copy of their passport details or a copy of the driver’s license if no passport exists. A New Zealand company applying for a client code must also provide their certificate of incorporation.
